Historical Background
A photograph taken in November of 1972 depicts a dinnertime scene at the Gladden family home. Sitting around the dinner table are William Gladden Sr., his wife, Bertha Brown Gladden, and Marie Stapler Gladden, enjoying a meal in each other's company. This photograph was taken within the new family home Michael Gladden Jr. constructed in the 1960s, identified by its eye-catching red brick exterior. The house still stands in relatively similar condition to its construction and now operates as a small community church in South Apopka.
