A 1938 order form and contract from the Southern Educational Service, a book and educational materials company based at the Clark Building in Birmingham, Alabama, printed on yellow/goldenrod paper with a decorative green border. The form is a combination purchase agreement in which the signer, Marie S. Gladden of P.O. Box 413, Apopka, Florida, ordered a set of the Progressive Reference Library in Ten Volumes (Fabrikoid Binding, Embossed Design), enrollment in the Pictured Loose-Leaf Extension Service for ten years, enrollment in the Research Service for ten years, and additional volumes upon final payment, with a total cost of $59.50 to be paid in installments. The document is dated May 8, 1938, and the right side contains a blank information panel for recording the buyer's name, college, teaching address, teaching subjects, and bank references.
