Mann was a General John Pope-class troop transport that served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Commissioned on October 13, 1943, the 622-foot ship transported thousands of troops and cargo across the Atlantic and Pacific, later receiving two Korean service stars and one Vietnam service star.
